What TraceDart Is
TraceDart provides first-party website analytics and visitor identity tools for site owners. When a site owner installs TraceDart, the service records visits, sessions, device context, location signals, referrers, UTM parameters, and engagement activity so the site owner can understand traffic on their own properties.
This page explains how TraceDart handles data for the TraceDart service. Site owners using TraceDart are responsible for their own visitor notices, consent flows, and legal requirements.
Data We Collect
For dashboard accounts, we collect the information needed to create and secure an account, such as email address, password hash, site records, API keys, and account activity.
For analytics events, TraceDart may process page URL, hostname, referrer, UTM parameters, timestamps, visitor and session identifiers, IP address, request headers, country, city, ASN, ISP, reverse DNS hostname, IP network/provider/company, VPN/proxy/Tor/datacenter signals, browser, operating system, device type, screen details, language, timezone, browser capabilities, graphics/audio rendering signals, installed font and speech voice signals, media codec support, passive permission states, storage quota buckets, media device counts, layout and CSS support hints, automation hints, network connection hints, page activity, scroll depth, time on page, and custom event properties sent by the site owner.
How We Use Data
We use data to provide analytics dashboards, identify returning visitors, show traffic sources and locations, debug the service, prevent abuse, protect accounts, and improve TraceDart.
We do not sell analytics data. We do not use a site owner's analytics data to build public profiles for unrelated customers.
Cookies And Local Storage
TraceDart may use first-party browser storage, such as cookies or local storage, to keep visitor and session identifiers stable for analytics purposes.
Dashboard authentication may also rely on secure browser cookies or equivalent session storage.
Sharing And Processors
TraceDart may share data with infrastructure and service providers that help run the product, such as hosting, database, DNS, security, location enrichment, and IP intelligence providers.
We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect the service, or to investigate abuse.
Retention And Deletion
Analytics and account data is kept for as long as needed to provide the service, operate dashboards, prevent abuse, comply with legal obligations, or resolve disputes.
Site owners can delete sites and API keys in the dashboard. Site owners can also permanently erase individual visitors — all of their sessions, pageviews, events, and identity records — from the dashboard or API; aggregate daily counts are retained. Some records may remain in backups or logs for a limited period.
